Note. If you remove the radiator cooling fan without disconnecting the upper pipe from the radiator (you can do this so as not to drain the coolant), then the radiator fins and tubes may be damaged.
Removing
1. Partially drain the coolant from the car (see points 1-5 and 7 "Coolant replacement").
2. Remove the battery (see "Battery - removal and installation").
3. Remove the air filter housing (see "Air filter - removal and installation").
4. Disconnect the radiator cooling fan harness connector.
5. Using a 10 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the two nuts securing the radiator cooling fan on the left side.
6. Unscrew the two nuts of the upper mounting of the radiator cooling fan (one of them also mounts the radiator).
7. Using a 10 mm spanner, unscrew the nut of the lower mounting of the radiator cooling fan.
8. After loosening the clamp, remove the upper pipe from the radiator.
9. Carefully remove the radiator cooling fan from the engine compartment.
Disassembly
1. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three nuts securing the radiator cooling fan to the casing.
2. Prying with a screwdriver, disconnect the wiring harness from the casing.
3. Remove the fan cover.
4. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the fan impeller fastening nut, holding the impeller with your hand.
5. Remove the impeller from the radiator cooling fan motor shaft.
Assembly
Assemble the fan in reverse order. When installing the impeller, in its groove...
...the pin of the fan motor shaft must engage.
Installation
We install the radiator cooling fan and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal.
