Removal
1. Preparing the vehicle for work (see point 2a "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
On the injection engine VAZ 2112 (l,5i):
2. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the four nuts securing the plastic cover to the cylinder head cover.
3. Unscrew and remove the oil filler cap.
4. Remove the plastic engine cover.
We install the oil filler cap back in place.
On the injection engine VAZ 21124 (1.6i):
1. The plastic cover is held in place by four rubber sleeves that fit onto the cylinder head cover studs.
2. Lift and remove the plastic cover together with the rubber couplings.
Note: It is not necessary to remove the oil filler cap. If one or more couplings remain on the studs, remove them and insert them into the corresponding holes in the cap.
Installation
We install the decorative engine cover and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order.
