Oil level sensor (installed on some vehicles) screwed into the engine cylinder block.
To complete the work you will need:
- inspection ditch or overpass;
- multimeter.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wire tip from the oil level sensor.
3. Using a socket head, unscrew the sensor mounting bolt.

4. Remove the sensor from the engine cylinder block hole.

Examination
1. Connect the multimeter (in ohmmeter mode) to the body and the sensor output.
2. By moving the float from one extreme position to another, we measure the electrical resistance of the sensor. In the extreme upper position, the resistance should be infinitely large...

...and in other positions about 0 Ohm.

Recommendation: Replace the faulty sensor.
Installation
We install the sensor in the reverse order.
