Cooling system (pic. 4.17) liquid, closed type, with forced circulation of the coolant, with an expansion tank 2, in which a sensor for the coolant level indicator for the on-board control system is installed.
The centrifugal-type coolant pump is driven by a toothed belt 17 of the timing mechanism drive.
The electric fan is equipped with a plastic four-blade impeller 13 mounted on the motor shaft 14, which is turned on and off by the controller engine management systems.
The thermostat 26 with a solid temperature-sensitive filler provides the main and additional valves. Start of main valve opening at coolant temperature (85±2) °С, the stroke of the main valve when the coolant temperature reaches 102°С is at least 8 mm.
The radiator is tubular-lamellar, aluminum, with plastic tanks 6 and 9. Two-way radiator with a baffle in the left tank. The coolant is poured through the filler neck of the expansion tank 2, there are inlet and outlet valves in the plug 1 of the expansion tank. Exhaust valve opening pressure 110–150 kPa (1.1–1.5 kgf/cm2), inlet - 3–13 kPa (0.03–0.13 kgf/cm2).
The cooling system is filled with Tosol-A40M coolant.
The location of the elements of the cooling system in the engine compartment: 1 - hose from the radiator to the expansion tank; 2 - outlet hose of the radiator; 3 - inlet hose to the radiator; 4 - radiator; 5 - thermostat; 6 - hose for supplying coolant to the throttle assembly; 7 - coolant outlet hose from the throttle assembly; 8 - coolant level sensor in the expansion tank; 9 - expansion tank; 10 – a stopper of a broad tank; 11 - casing with a fan
