Helpful Hint: If you remove the oil pump, replace the front crankshaft oil seal (see "Replacing crankshaft seals").
You will need: keys "10", "13", "17", oil filter remover, screwdriver.
1. Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
2. Drain the oil from the engine (see "Changing engine oil and oil filter").
3. Remove the alternator drive belt (see "Replacing and adjusting the tension of the generator drive belt").
4. Remove the camshaft drive belt (see "Replacing the camshaft drive belt and adjusting the belt tension").
Warning! After removing the camshaft drive belt, do not turn the camshaft or crankshaft, as the pistons may hit the valves.
5. Using two screwdrivers, remove the pulley from the crankshaft.
6. If the key does not fit tightly in the crankshaft groove, remove it so as not to lose it.

7. Remove the engine oil pan (see "Replacing the engine oil pan gasket").
8. Unscrew the two bolts securing the oil receiver to the main bearing cover.
9. Unscrew the bolt securing the oil receiver to the oil pump and remove the oil receiver.
10. Remove the six oil pump mounting bolts.
Warning! There are flat washers under the oil pump mounting bolts.
11. Move the oil pump with a screwdriver, inserting it between the pump and the main bearing cap…
12. …and remove the pump from the crankshaft.
13. Before installing the pump, rotate the oil pump drive gear to ensure correct installation on the crankshaft: the protrusions on the drive gear must match…
14. …with chamfers on the crankshaft.
15. Lubricate the working edge of the oil seal with engine oil. When installing the pump, carefully tuck the working edge of the oil seal onto the crankshaft journal using a wooden stick and screw in the pump mounting bolts.
16. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the tension of the camshaft drive belt (see "Replacing the camshaft drive belt and adjusting the belt tension").
