1. Remove the oil pump from the vehicle (see "Removal and installation the oil pump").
2. Using a screwdriver, remove the oil seal from the oil pump cover.
3. Press the new seal into the pump cover using a mandrel with an outside diameter of (41±0.5) mm so that its working edge is directed inward.
4. Install the oil pump.
The reason for the clutch discs becoming oily may be a leak in the primary shaft seal of the gearbox or the rear seal of the crankshaft. Engine and transmission oils have different smells, so with a certain amount of skill, you can determine by smell which of the seals is defective.
Helpful Hint: There is another way to determine the type of oil. Drop the oil into a thin layer of water in a vessel (you can fall into a puddle). The transmission oil will spread across the entire surface of the water in the form of a rainbow film, while the motor oil will remain in the form of a drop, similar to a grain of lentil.
To replace the rear crankshaft oil seal you will need: a screwdriver, a 10 mm wrench.
1. Disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the flywheel (see "Removal and installation the flywheel"), having previously marked its location relative to the crankshaft.
3. Remove the rear shield of the clutch housing from the guide bushings.
4. Screw in the eight oil seal holder mounting bolts.
5. Remove the oil seal holder.
6. Press the seal out of the holder.
7. Press the new oil seal into the holder until it stops using a mandrel with an outside diameter of (99±0.5) mm so that…

Helpful Hint: To make it easier to press in the seal, make a small chamfer on its seating edge using a file or fine emery wheel.
9. Replace the torn holder gasket. For ease of installation, "glue" the gasket to the holder with consistent grease.

12. Loosen the fastening of the engine oil pan to the cylinder block. To do this, unscrew the fourteen bolts fastening the pan by 2-3 turns.
13. When installing the holder, carefully tuck the working edge of the oil seal onto the crankshaft flange using a wooden stick. Screw in the holder mounting bolts. Screw in the engine crankcase mounting bolts to the cylinder block.
14. Install the rear shield of the clutch housing onto the guide bushings. Then install the flywheel, clutch and gearbox according to the previously applied marks.
Helpful Hint: To increase the reliability of the flywheel mounting bolts, lubricate the threaded portion of the bolts with sealant before installation.
