Removal and installation the oil pump (VAZ-1111)

To remove the oil pump, place the car on a lift and apply the parking brake. Remove the windshield washer reservoir, the wire from the negative terminal of the battery, and the ignition coil with high-voltage wires. Unscrew the screws and remove the engine mudguard. Loosen the alternator mounting nuts, loosen the alternator drive belt tension, and remove it. Engage direct transmission and turn the front wheels to the right by the steering wheel until they stop. Unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the alternator drive pulley from the crankshaft. Remove the front protective cover of the camshaft drive belt, disengage the gear, tighten the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt, and, turning the crankshaft by the bolt, align the flywheel mark with the zero mark on the clutch housing inspection window scale. In this case, the mark on the camshaft toothed pulley should match the mark on the rear cover, and the mark on the crankshaft toothed pulley should match the mark on the oil pump housing. Loosen the tension roller fastening nut and remove the camshaft drive belt, remove the crankshaft toothed pulley. Raise the car on a lift and drain the oil from the engine sump into a container. Unscrew the fastening screws and remove the oil sump, oil pump, and oil receiver in sequence. When removing the oil pump, be careful not to damage the gasket.
