Disassembly and assembly of the oil pump (VAZ-1111)

For disassembly, secure the cover 9 (figure 52) pump in a vice and unscrew the plug 6 of the pressure-reducing valve. Take out the spring 5 and valve 4. Unscrew the screws securing the pump body 1 to the cover, disconnect them and take out the driving 3 and driven 2 gears. Press out with mandrel 67.7853.9580 (see figure 22) from the cover of the self-tightening oil seal 8 of the crankshaft.



Before assembling the pump, lubricate the gears, the housing in the gear area, the sealing ring 10 of the oil receiver tube 11 and the pressure reducing valve 4 with engine oil. Lubricate the outer diameter of the seal with engine oil and press it in until it stops (so that the sealing edge does not adhere to the old place). Then carefully secure the cover in a vice, and install the gears in housing 1; liquid sealant KLT-75T is applied to the surface of the body mating with the cover and the body and cover are fastened with screws. Pressure reducing valve 4, valve spring are installed in place and plug 6 is screwed in. Before installing the plug, it is necessary to place a sealing aluminum ring 7 with a thickness of (1.5±0.2) mm under it.



After assembling the pump, the gears should rotate smoothly and without jamming when turned by hand.
