The shape of the muffler outlet pipe has been changed.

The final drive gears have been modified to provide a gear ratio of 4.44.

The rear suspension springs have been changed.
Wheels
Wheels of modified design with rim size 127J-330 (5J–13).
Tires
Other size tires: bias 6.45–13 (165–330) or radial 165/80R13.
Electrical equipment
Electrical equipment diagram
The electrical circuit diagram of the VAZ-2102 differs from the circuit diagram of the VAZ-2101 only by the modified rear wiring harness (see subsection 11.1.1).
Lighting and signaling
The rear lights and the number plate light are of a different design. The trunk light has been replaced with a lampshade.

Doors

The car has four side doors and a tailgate. The tailgate is single-leaf, with upper hinges and fixed glass. The outer handle of the tailgate is equipped with a lock with a key for unlocking the door from the outside. The dimensions of the rear side door openings differ (see Fig. Reference linear dimensions of door openings).
Seats
The rear seat has a different design. The cushion and backrest of the rear seat fold down to increase the space occupied by luggage. The cushion in the folded position protects the front seat and increases the luggage space. The backrest, set to the horizontal position, serves as a support surface.
Spare wheel and driver's tools

The spare wheel and driver's tools are placed in the compartment under the cargo area of the trunk. To remove the spare wheel, you need to roll up the mat and unscrew the screw with a wing nut that secures the wheel to the bottom of the compartment.
