Testing the starter in idle mode (VAZ-21011)

1. Remove the toothed ring gear of the stand from engagement with the starter pinion. Turn on the starter and measure the current it consumes and the rotation speed of the starter anchor, which should be no more than 35 A, respectively (60 A for starter 35.3708) and 5000±1000 min⁻¹ at a voltage at the starter terminals of 11.5–12 V.

2. If the current strength and the rotation speed of the armature shaft differ from the specified values, the reasons may be the same as in the previous test (see subsection 6.3.2.2).
