Removal
1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass (see "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. For ease of work, remove the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").
3. Drain the coolant (see "Coolant - Checking Level and Replacing").
4. Remove the fuel rail (see "Fuel rail - removal, installation and testing of injectors").
5. Unscrew the two nuts and bolt securing the starter shield and remove the shield from the exhaust manifold studs (see "Starter - removal and installation").
6. With a socket wrench by 13 mm we unscrew the bolts of the upper fastening of the front and rear struts to the intake manifold.

7. Loosen the lower nut securing the front tie rod to the stud of the right powertrain support bracket and move the tie rod to the side.

8. Loosen the bolt of the upper starter mount (see "Starter - removal and installation") and move the back stretch to the side.
9. With a socket wrench by 13 mm using an extension cord, unscrew the nut securing the tip of the ground wire and disconnect it.

10. Using the same tool, unscrew the nut securing the front lifting eye of the power unit and remove the lifting eye.

11. With a socket wrench by 13 mm using a deep socket, unscrew the two nuts A that secure the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold and the two nuts B that secure the intake manifold.

12. Using the same tool, unscrew the two nuts A that jointly fasten the intake manifold with the exhaust manifold and the nut B that fastens the exhaust manifold.

13. Unscrew the bolt securing the intake pipe clamp to the bracket on the gearbox and remove the intake pipe from the exhaust manifold studs (see "Intake pipe - removal and installation").
14. With a socket wrench by 13 mm using a deep socket, unscrew the nut of the front exhaust manifold mount.

15. With a curved key by 13 mm or using a socket wrench with a hinge, unscrew the nut of the rear exhaust manifold mount.

16. Remove the washers from the studs. Thicker washers are installed under the nuts that jointly fasten the intake manifold and exhaust manifold.
17. Having moved the exhaust manifold away from the cylinder head, remove the intake manifold from the studs.

18. Remove the sealing gasket of the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold. Replace the gasket with a new one.

Installation
We install the parts in the reverse order and fill in the coolant.
