Attention! When performing work related to the depressurization of the power system, be careful. When the engine is running, it is forbidden to depressurize the system, since the pressure in it is 2.8-3.2 bar (280-320kPa). After the engine is stopped, the pressure drops to zero within 2.5-3 hours.
If the work associated with the depressurization of the power system (replacement of the fuel filter, injectors, etc.), we carry out on a just stopped engine, it is necessary to relieve pressure in the power system.
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal (see "Battery - removal and installation").
3. We remove the fuse G of the electric fuel pump circuit from the fuse box and relay of the control system (see "Fuses and relays of the engine management system - replacement").
4. We connect the wire to the battery terminal and start the engine, letting it run until the remaining fuel in the pipeline is completely exhausted.
5. Turn off the ignition.
6. Install the fuse in place.
