2. Remove the locking plates (see Fig. Rear axle gearbox assembly), unscrew the bolts and remove the differential box bearing caps, adjusting nuts and outer rings of the roller bearings.
3. Before removing, mark the bearing caps and outer rings so that they can be installed in their original locations during assembly.
4. Remove the differential box from the gearbox housing together with the driven gear and inner bearing rings.

5. To remove the drive gear and its parts, turn the gearbox housing upside down and, holding the drive gear flange 3 with stopper 1, unscrew the flange fastening nut 2 with a wrench (4 is the bracket for fastening the gearbox on the stand).
6. Remove the flange and take out the drive gear with the adjusting ring, the inner ring of the rear bearing and the spacer sleeve.
7. Remove the oil seal, oil deflector and inner ring of the front bearing from the gearbox housing.
8. Press out the outer rings of the front and rear bearings using mandrel A.70198.

9. Remove the spacer sleeve from the drive gear (2) and, using the universal puller A.40005/1/7 (1) and the mandrel A.45008 (4), remove the inner ring (3) of the rear roller bearing.
10. Remove the drive gear adjusting ring.

11. To disassemble the differential, remove the inner rings (2) of the roller bearings of the differential box (3), using the universal puller A.40005/1/6 (1) and the stop A.45028 (4).
12. Loosen the nuts securing the driven gear and knock the satellite axle out of the box.
13. Turn the axle gears and satellites so that the latter roll out into the differential windows, after which they can be removed.
14. Remove the axle shaft gears with the support washers.
