If cracks or deformations of the coils are detected during inspection, the spring is replaced with a new one. The spring settlement is checked by pressing the spring three times until the coils touch, then applying a load of 295 kgf to it. The length of the spring under the specified load must be at least 233 mm. If a spring with a yellow marking (class A) has a length of less than 240 mm, its marking is changed to green (class B).
The spring compression is carried out along the axis of the suspension spring, and the support surfaces must correspond to the surfaces of the shock absorber support cups and the body. The condition of the rubber support pads of the springs is checked. If necessary, they are replaced with new ones.
