To dismantle the pump, remove the front right wheel, hang the car on a lift, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and drain the oil from the engine crankcase.
After loosening the generator mount, remove its belt. Unscrew the bolt from the end of the crankshaft and remove the alternator drive pulley. Remove the front toothed belt cover.
The crankshaft is turned with a key until the marks of the toothed pulleys of the camshaft and crankshafts are aligned with the marks on the body parts and the crankshaft is fixed with a parking brake and one of the gears is engaged. Loosen the toothed belt tension, remove the belt and the crankshaft toothed pulley.
The mounting bolts are unscrewed and removed in sequence: the clutch housing cover, the oil sump with a gasket, the oil receiver, the oil pump. When removing the oil pump, be careful not to damage the gasket.
Install the oil pump in reverse order (see also sect. «Replacing the camshaft drive belt»).
