Removal the clutch and its drive (VAZ-2108)

First remove the gearbox (see section. "Transmission"). Then unscrew the bolts securing the clutch housing to the flywheel and remove the clutch housing together with the pressure plate. This releases the driven clutch disk.

To remove the clutch release drive, loosen the adjusting nuts 5 (see figure 58) and remove the lower part of the cable from the socket of the bracket 3 for fastening the cable sheath. Then disconnect the leash 1 from the clutch release fork lever. Remove the cable earring 12 from the pedal. Remove the cable assembly with the buffer 9 from the front body shield.

To remove the clutch pedal, secure spring 17 on pusher 16 with a cotter pin or wire 2 mm in diameter, installing them in the pusher hole under support 18. To find the hole in the desired position, turn the clutch pedal on the axle. Then remove the brake pedal release spring and pedal axle, having first removed the bracket from the pedal axle groove. Remove the clutch pedal assembly with the spring booster.

If it is necessary to replace the clutch release fork, press out the outer sleeve 13 (see figure 57) from the clutch housing, remove fork 3, then install a new fork and press in the bushing, having first applied SHRUS-4 grease to it.
