Tip: When repairing electrical equipment and the power system, disconnect the wire from the terminal "–" battery. We recommend doing this for long-term storage.
Attention! Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is off.
Attention! Do not place metal objects on the battery to avoid short circuit.
Attention! Be careful when working near the battery: inadvertently, a metal tool can short-circuit it, resulting in a fire.
Attention! It is recommended to lubricate the battery terminals and wire lugs with conductive grease so that they do not oxidize.
Attention! Before disconnecting the battery on vehicles equipped with a burglar alarm, switch the latter to service mode. Otherwise, the alarm may go off, considering the disconnection of the battery as an attempted theft. The siren will turn on and the ignition system and door locks will be blocked (if they are connected to the alarm).
1. The battery is located in the front of the engine compartment on the driver's side.
2. Loosen the nut securing the wire end to the terminal "–".
3. Move the wire aside so that the tip does not touch the terminal.
4. After connecting the wire, tighten the fastening nut so that the wire end fits snugly on the terminal and cannot be pulled off by hand.
