Advice: When repairing electrical equipment and the power supply system, disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery. We also recommend doing this during long-term storage.
Caution! Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is off.
Caution: Do not place metal objects on the battery to avoid short circuit.
Warning! Be careful when working near the battery: if you are careless, you can short-circuit it with a metal tool, which can cause a fire.
Caution! It is recommended to lubricate the battery terminals and wire ends with conductive grease to prevent oxidation.
Warning! Before disconnecting the battery on cars equipped with an alarm system, switch the alarm system to service mode. Otherwise, the alarm system may be triggered, considering disconnecting the battery as an attempt to steal the car. The siren will sound and the ignition system and door locks will be blocked (if they are connected to the alarm).
1. The battery is located in the front of the engine compartment on the driver's side.
2. Unscrew the nut securing the wire tip to the "–" terminal.
3. Move the wire to the side so that the tip does not touch the terminal.
4. After connecting the wire, tighten the fastening nut so that the wire tip fits tightly on the terminal and cannot be pulled off by hand.
