2. Check the condition of the ball joint protective caps of the steering rods. Inspect the steering rods. Bent and defective steering rods must be replaced.
3. Check the axial play in the joint. To do this, vigorously swing the steering rod along the axis of the joint. If play is detected, replace the steering rod end together with the joint.
