Removal
1. Remove the brake booster (see "Vacuum brake booster - removal, installation, replacement").
2. To maintain the previous brake pedal adjustment, use a marker to mark the position of the brake limit switch lock nut.

3. Using a 19 mm open-end wrench, loosen the brake pedal limit switch lock nut.

4. Remove the brake pedal limit switch from the pedal assembly bracket.

5. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the brake pedal axle retaining clip.

6. Remember the location of the brake pedal return spring.
7. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the pedal axle and remove the brake pedal from the bracket.

8. Remove two plastic bushings from the brake pedal.

Installation
1. Lubricate the new bushings and the brake pedal axle with plastic grease (Litol-24).
2. Install the brake pedal and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal.
