Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see item 2a "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. We set the front wheels of the car to the position of rectilinear movement.
3. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, pry off and remove the decorative element of the horn switch cover.
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the horn switch trim.
5. Using a 24 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the steering wheel nut, holding it from turning.
6. Mark the position of the steering wheel on the steering shaft with a core or marker.
7. Alternately, with both palms, hit the steering wheel from the side of the instrument panel until the steering wheel comes off the splines of the steering shaft.
8. Remove the steering wheel.
9. If it is not possible to remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft using the method described above, you can, by unscrewing the nut and pulling the steering wheel with your knees towards you, apply several blows with a hammer on the end of the shaft through a soft metal drift.
Installation
We install the steering wheel and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal. When installing the steering wheel, use a new self-locking nut.
