Note: The valve grinding is performed on the removed cylinder head (see "Cylinder head - removal and installation").
To grind valves you need to have:
- valve grinding tool;
- lapping paste.
Removal
1. Remove the oil seal (see "Valve stem seals - replacement").
2. Remove the valve from the guide bushing.

3. Apply lapping paste to the working edge of the valve.

4. Install the valve into the cylinder head and attach the lapping device to its stem.
5. Pressing the valve to the seat, turn it from side to side. After 10-15 movements, turn the valve 90° and continue grinding.

6. We grind the valve until a uniform ring-shaped belt is formed on the valve plate.

7. We grind the valve until a uniform ring-shaped belt is formed on the seat.

Installation
Remove the remaining lapping paste from the valve and its seat. Install the valve in place and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
We grind the remaining valves in the same way.
