Note: On engine 2112 (1.5i) there is a catalytic converter (catalytic converter) the engine is installed between the exhaust pipe and the additional muffler.
To carry out repair work, an inspection pit or overpass is required.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for repair work (see points 2b and 4 "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts of the movable hinge and remove the metallographic ring (see p. 1-2 "Metal-graphite sealing ring of the exhaust pipe - replacement").
3. Using a 17 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the nuts of the two bolts securing the catalytic converter to the flange of the additional muffler, holding the bolts with a 17 mm wrench.
Recommendation: If the nuts cannot be unscrewed, cut them with a hacksaw blade or a cut-off machine.

Installation
