To replace the exhaust pipe on cars with an injection engine 21124 (1.6i), you need an inspection pit or overpass.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for repair work (see points 2b and 4 "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the engine protection (see "Engine protection - removal and installation").
3. Disconnect the intake pipe from the additional silencer (see points 1 and 2 "Metal-graphite sealing ring of the exhaust pipe - replacement").
4. Bend back the edges of the lock washer (1) and protective screen (2).
5. Using a 13 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the three nuts.
6. Remove the lock washer and protective screen.
7. Remove the exhaust pipe.
8. Remove the sealing gasket from the catalytic converter studs.
Installation
We install the exhaust pipe and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal. We replace damaged gaskets and metal-graphite ring with new ones.
