Recommendation. In case of fuel pump failure, we recommend replacing the fuel module as a whole, as repair work requires practical skills and accuracy (fuel module components may be damaged).
To perform repair work on replacing the fuel pump, you will need: a hair dryer (technical) or hot water.
Removal
1. Remove the fuel module (see "Fuel module of the gasoline pump of the engine 2112 (1.5i) - removal, installation, replacement").
2. Remove the mesh filter from the fuel pump pipe (see "Fuel module of engine 2112 (1.5i) - cleaning of fuel pump mesh filter").
3. Using pliers, remove the locking pin from the guide hole.
4. Remove the fuel pump casing from the fuel module cover guides.
5. Using a slotted screwdriver, release the three fasteners and remove the casing cover.
6. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel module casing.
7. With a hair dryer, heat the end of the corrugated tube placed on the fuel pump nozzle and disconnect the corrugated tube from the nozzle (for more information, see points 6 and 7 "Fuel module engine 21124 (1.6i) - fuel pump replacement").
Installation
We install the fuel pump and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order.
