Recommendation. Malfunctions of the fuel level indicator sensor are most often associated with wear of the contact part of its rheostat. This can be verified by measuring its electrical resistance with an ohmmeter while smoothly moving the lever with the float from one extreme position to another. A faulty fuel level indicator sensor should be replaced.
Removal
1. Remove the fuel module of the fuel pump (see "Fuel module of the gasoline pump of the engine 2112 (1.5i) - removal, installation, replacement").
2. Press the lock (1) of the wire connectors (3) and disconnect the connector from the terminals (2) on the fuel pump fuel module cover.

3. Release the wire connector retainer (1) and disconnect the connector from the fuel pump (2). Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws (3) securing the fuel level indicator sensor.

4. Remove the fuel level indicator.
