Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for work and disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. On engines 2112, 21114 and 21124 remove the decorative engine cover (see "Engine trim - removal and installation").
3. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system (see "Coolant - replacement").
4. Remove the windshield wiper (see "Windscreen wiper - removal and installation") and disconnect the steam outlet hose from the heater radiator pipe.
5. Remove the right side of the engine compartment trim (see "Engine compartment trim - removal and installation").
6. Using side cutters, cut the clamp securing the heater wiring harness.

7. By pressing the lock, we disconnect the wiring blocks of the heater electric fan.

8. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the additional heater resistor.

9. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the heater flap electric drive and the connector (1) from the flap position sensor.

Advice. If the heater radiator hoses are "stuck" to the plastic radiator pipes, then, in order not to break them when disconnecting the hoses, it is better to cut off the old hoses and install new ones during assembly. The cost of the hoses is significantly lower than the cost of the heater radiator.
10. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the clamps on the two heater radiator hoses and remove the hoses from the radiator pipes.

11. With a deep-head socket wrench by 10 mm unscrew the two nuts of the lower heater mount.

12. With a socket wrench by 8 mm unscrew the screw of the upper heater mount.

13. With a socket wrench by 10 mm unscrew the nut of the right heater mount.

14. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws (2) and the screw (1) that hold the heater housing and the air intake housing together.

Warning! When performing the following operation, be careful as there is always a small amount of coolant in the heater core. Avoid contact with skin.
15. Move the heater housing forward and upward and remove it from the car.
16. Remove the heater air intake housing.
Installation
1. Install the heater and all removed parts in the reverse order.
2. Fill the engine cooling system with liquid (see "Coolant - replacement").
