Note: The engine compartment soundproofing trim consists of two parts. Each part can be removed separately.
Removal
1. Remove the ventilation system air intake grille (see "Air intake grille of the ventilation system - removal and installation").
2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the heater radiator steam outlet hose (1) from the expansion tank pipe. Remove the rubber seal installed above the brake master cylinder reservoir (2).

3. Remove and take off the left part of the engine compartment trim.

Advice: On cars with engines 2112, 21114 and 21124, for convenience of further work, remove the decorative engine cover (see "Engine trim - removal and installation").
4. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the two clamps securing the brake booster hose from the right trim of the engine compartment.

5. With a socket wrench by 10 mm using a ratchet, unscrew the nut of the lower fastening of the right part of the engine compartment trim (1) and the nut of the upper fastening of the protective screen (2).

6. Disconnect the wire ends from the rear window washer pump terminals and remove the windshield washer reservoir mounting belt (see "Rear window washer reservoir - removal and installation"). We remove the windshield washer reservoir and, without disconnecting the hose from it, install the reservoir on the wing.

7. Remove and take off the right part of the engine compartment trim.

Installation
We install the upholstery in the engine compartment in the reverse order.
