According to the manufacturer's recommendation, the fuel filter must be replaced after every 30,000 km.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Release the pressure from the fuel line (see above, "Fuel line - pressure relief").
3. Wipe the fuel filter and the fuel line tubes connected to it with a cloth. Treat the thread of the filter clamp tightening bolt with penetrating lubricant.
Tip: Before disconnecting the tube tip from the filter, prepare a small wide container with a capacity of at least 0.5 l to drain the remaining gasoline from the fuel line. To completely remove the fuel, you need to unscrew the valve from the fuel rail or open its valve.
4. On a car with engine 11183 (1.6i):
a) Press the spring lock.
b) While holding the lock in the pressed position, remove the connecting tip of the fuel line tube from the outlet pipe of the fuel filter.
c) Similarly, remove the connecting tip of the fuel line tube from the inlet pipe of the fuel filter.
On a car with a 2111 engine (1.5i):
a) With an open-end wrench by 19 mm holding the filter from rotating by the hexagonal branch pipe, with a second open-end wrench by 17 mm unscrew the fuel supply line fitting (1). Similarly, unscrew the fuel outlet line fitting (2).
b) Disconnect the fuel pipes from the filter.
Warning! The ends of the fuel lines are fitted with rubber sealing rings. Damaged rings must be replaced.
4. Key by 10 mm we unscrew the clamp bolt of the fuel filter mounting clamp.

5. Remove the filter from the clamp.
Installation
We install the new filter in the reverse order.
Warning! Pay attention to the arrow on the filter housing indicating the direction of fuel flow. On a car with a 2111 (1.5i) engine, the arrow should point to the left, and on a car with an 11183 (1.6i) engine, to the right.
After connecting the fuel line tubes to the fuel filter, turn on the ignition for 5 seconds and check the tightness of the connections. If necessary on engine 2111 (1.5i) we tighten the fuel line fittings more tightly, and then engine 11183 (1.6i) we put the ends of the fuel line tubes more tightly onto the fuel filter pipes.
