Before pressing in the rubber-metal hinge 2, generously lubricate with a 30-35% aqueous solution of soap liquid1 or with IGP-30 oil the hinge socket and its outer surface, while observing precautions to prevent damage to the hinge during pressing (the appearance of burrs, cracks or tears in the rubber). After pressing the joint, make sure that it is symmetrically located in the socket and has no areas pulled into the socket or bulging out of it. After pressing the joint and before starting to operate the car, it is necessary to allow a time delay of at least 24 hours.
Pressing out worn, damaged or destroyed rubber hinges of the stabilizer struts is carried out on a press using the specified mandrels in the same manner.
Notes
