You will need: A 10 mm spanner and a wheel wrench.
Before starting work, disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery.
Setting the piston of the first cylinder to the top dead center (TDC) position of the compression stroke is necessary so that when carrying out work related to removing the camshaft drive belt, the valve timing is not disturbed.
Set TDC using the marks on the camshaft toothed pulley. When setting using the marks on the flywheel, or the generator drive pulley, or the crankshaft toothed pulley, the piston of either the 1st or 2nd cylinder can be in this position. Then be sure to check that the marks on the flywheel, or the generator drive pulley, or the crankshaft toothed pulley match (if the generator drive pulley is removed). If the marks on the flywheel or crankshaft pulley do not match, then the valve timing is out of alignment (piston of the 1st cylinder is not set to TDC). In this case, it is necessary to remove the camshaft drive belt and turn the crankshaft until the marks are aligned.
Warning: Turn the crankshaft clockwise only (in the direction of crankshaft rotation) by the bolt that attaches the generator drive pulley to it. It is prohibited to turn the crankshaft by the camshaft pulley.
Location of TDC marks
There is a protrusion on the toothed pulley of the camshaft; on the rear cover of the camshaft drive belt there is a whisker.

There is a notch on the generator drive pulley; on the front cover of the camshaft - a long protrusion (the alternator drive belt has been removed). The short projection located nearby is a mark for setting the ignition timing.

There is a risk on the flywheel; on the scale of the crankshaft rear oil seal holder - the middle cutout (it is necessary to remove the rubber plug).

On the toothed pulley of the crankshaft - a dot; on the oil pump cover there is a triangular cutout. These marks are only visible when the generator drive pulley is removed.

Procedure
Turn the crankshaft with a wheel wrench using the generator drive pulley mounting bolt through the hole in the right wheel well (to make it easier to turn the shaft, you can remove the spark plugs) so that...

...marks on the alternator drive pulley and on the front camshaft drive cover (long mark) coincided.

Remove the three bolts securing the front camshaft drive belt cover.

Remove the bolts along with the flat washers.

Remove the front cover.

Check that the marks on the camshaft pulley and the rear camshaft drive belt cover match.

If the mark on the pulley is on the opposite side from the mark on the rear cover, then the piston of the second cylinder is at TDC. Turn the crankshaft one revolution.
