- key "on 10"
- new filter element
- clean rags
Attention! The filter element must be replaced every 15,000 km. When driving on dirt and country roads, the filter element becomes clogged faster. The need for its replacement may be indicated by a decrease in engine power. In this case, inspect the filter element and replace it if it is heavily soiled, warped, or damaged.
This filter element must be replaced.
1. Open the hood. Loosen the filter cover nut and remove the washer.
2. Please note that the nut has a serrated collar.
3. Release the four spring clips.
4. Remove the air filter cover and...
5.... put it aside without disconnecting the crankcase ventilation hose from the fitting on the cover.
6. Remove the filter element from the housing.
7. Plug the carburetor neck with a clean rag.
8. Wipe the inside of the filter housing and the inside of the cover with a clean, damp cloth.
9. Install a new filter element.
