Remove the air filter (see subsection 10.10.1.).
Remove the steering gear (see subsection 6.1.).
Remove the exhaust pipe (see subsection 10.11.2.), main muffler (see subsection 10.11.3.) and additional muffler (see subsection 10.11.4.).
The downpipe is removed when it is mechanically damaged, cracks appear in the welds, through burnout and corrosion.
Pay attention to the lower end of the pipe. For a new pipe, it should be the same, since there is a non-interchangeable version of the pipe with a flange.
1. Unscrew the two nuts securing the intake pipe clamp on the engine and...
2....remove the bracket.
3. Unscrew the four nuts securing the exhaust pipe flanges to the cylinder head (two are shown, the rest are located on the other side of the intake pipe), remove the flat washers, slide the pipe flanges off the studs and move the pipe aside.
4. Remove the two bolts that secure the exhaust pipe bracket to the engine and remove the bracket.
5. Remove the exhaust pipe from the vehicle. Downpipe flange seals may remain on the head of the block. Remove them by separating them with a sharp tool and clean the surface of the block head. Gaskets are recommended to be replaced.
6. Install the downpipe in the reverse order of removal (before installing the flange nuts, apply graphite grease to their threaded part).
