- bend the petals of the locking plates, unscrew the caliper mounting bolts and, moving it to the side, fix the caliper so that it does not hang on the hoses;
- remove the front wheel hub cap with a puller 67.7901.9514 or a screwdriver;
- unscrew the adjusting nut of the hub bearings, remove the washer and use a universal puller А.40005/1/9В to remove the hub assembly with bearings, oil seal and brake disc, and then the inner ring of the inner bearing from the knuckle pin.
Carry out further disassembly after removing the entire suspension from the car, securing it in a vice and proceeding in the following order:
- remove the lock plates and the steering knuckle lever, having previously unscrewed all the nuts;
- remove the locking plates, this frees the caliper mounting bracket and the protective casing of the brake disc;
- unscrew the nut securing the pin of the upper hinge, install the puller 67.7801.9513 (pic. 163) between the fingers of the ball joints and, wrapping the bolt of the puller, press the pin of the upper hinge out of the steering knuckle;
- unscrew the nut of the lower hinge pin and install the same puller or A.47042 with a spacer between the pins and the stop;
- while tightening the puller screw, press out the pin and remove the lower arm from the knuckle.
Assemble suspension units in reverse order. Wherein:
- lubricate the front wheel hub bearings with Litol-24 grease, as indicated in the section «Replacing grease in front wheel bearings»;
- tighten the nuts and bolts for fastening the suspension assemblies and parts to the torques specified in the appendix;
- after assembling the suspension and installing it on the car, suspension elements «crushed», having made a run of 15-20 km, after which check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment.
