Disassembling and assembling the upper support of the suspension strut (VAZ-2108)

If the bearing of the upper support of the telescopic strut is worn, corroded or damaged, it is replaced. To do this, flare the support housing, and then press the bearing out of the support housing under a press using the 67.7853.9588 mandrel, using the 67.7822.9530 support. Before pressing in a new bearing, make sure that there are no burrs or burrs in the bearing seat. Any irregularities detected are removed with fine-grained sandpaper.

Using a special mandrel, press the bearing into the support housing, after which compress the support housing in four equally spaced places that were not previously deformed, using a special mandrel or a blunt chisel for this. After compressing the housing, the bearing should not move in the axial direction under a load of 600 kgf.
