Every 500 km of vehicle mileage it is necessary to:
- check the oil level in the engine crankcase, top up if necessary.
After the first 2000 km of a new car, it is necessary:
- check the tightness of the connections;
- change oil in engine crankcase;
- replace the oil filter.
Every 15,000 km of mileage it is necessary:
- check the tightness of the connections;
- change oil in engine crankcase;
- replace the oil filter.
Every 45,000 km, clean and flush the engine ventilation system parts.
Checking the oil level and seal tightness
Check the oil level on a cold, non-running engine. The level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the oil level indicator. If necessary, add fresh oil through the filler neck on the cylinder head cover.

Check the tightness of the crankshaft joints and seals visually for oil leaks.
Oil and oil filter change
Replace on a warm engine. To do this, unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil into a container. Wait 10 minutes until all the oil has drained.
Remove the oil filter, install a new one and fill the system with 3.5 liters of fresh engine oil corresponding to the season of operation. Screw in the new filter only by hand, having previously lubricated the sealing ring with engine oil.
Summer or winter motor oil in the engine when switching to another season of operation must also be changed to oil appropriate for that season.
It is allowed to use M-6₃/10G ₁ engine oil in the engine₁, but with its periodic replacement every 7500 km of the car's mileage.
Flushing of crankcase ventilation system components
For cleaning and flushing, remove hoses 2, 5 and 9 (see figure 38), unscrew the nuts securing the cover 7 of the cylinder head. Unscrew the two bolts securing the housing 8 of the oil deflector, remove the housing and the mesh 6. Wash the removed parts with gasoline.
Clean and rinse the carburetor's crankcase gas supply nipple 2 with acetone or gasoline.
