Advice. In the event of a malfunction of the fuel pump, you can replace the fuel module assembly, since the operation of replacing the pump requires practical skill and accuracy (fuel module elements can be damaged).
A hair dryer is required to perform the operation (technical) or hot water.
Removing
1. Remove the fuel module (see "Fuel module for 2111 and 2112 engines (1,5i) - removal and installation").
2. Remove the fuel gauge sensor (see "Fuel module for 2111 and 2112 engines (1,5i) - replacement of the fuel gauge sensor") and dismantle the strainer from the branch pipe of the electric fuel pump (see "Fuel module for 2111 and 2112 engines (1,5i) - cleaning the strainer").
3. Using pliers, remove the locking pin from the guide hole.
4. Remove the casing of the electric fuel pump from the guides of the fuel module cover.
5. Use a slotted screwdriver to release the three latches and remove the cover of the casing of the electric fuel pump.
6. We remove the electric fuel pump from the casing.
7. We heat the end of the corrugated tube put on the nozzle of the electric fuel pump with a hair dryer and disconnect the corrugated tube from the pump nozzle (see more details. "Fuel module for 21114 and 21124 engines (1,6i) - fuel pump replacement").
Installation
Install the electric fuel pump in reverse order.
