Disconnect the windshield washer tube from the tee on the hood. Holding the hood 4 (see figure 173) unscrew the four bolts securing the hood to the hinges 5 and remove the hood from the body.
The hood is installed in the reverse order. Before the final tightening of bolts 2, its position is adjusted so that it is located in the body opening with the same gaps with the wings, and also does not have a protruding or sinking front surface. If the desired position cannot be found due to the enlarged holes in the hood for bolts 2, the position of the hood in the opening is adjusted by bending the hinges 5 or changing the height position of the buffers 3.
In cases where the hood lock is not securely locked or there are difficulties opening and closing the hood, adjust the position of the lock. Outline the contours of the lock body, loosen the fastening nuts and move the lock to the desired position. After checking the operation of the lock, tighten the fastening nuts.
