Removal and installation the front wing (VAZ-1111)

Disconnect the ground terminal of the battery. With the bumper removed, unscrew the two screws securing the radiator grille. Remove the socket with the turn signal bulb from the lamp housing. Unscrew six screws 1, 2 and 3 (figure 180) fastenings of the front wing and remove the wing. Remove the turn signal lamp from the wing.



To install the front wing, clean the mating surfaces of the wing and the body, degrease the cleaned areas with a rag soaked in white spirit, and apply a primer such as GF-073 with a viscosity of 22-24 s. Install the sealing gasket in place (instead of a gasket, you can use anti-corrosion mastic BPM-1) and the turn signal lamp. Install the wing and fasten it with screws. Before finally tightening the screws, adjust the wing according to the gaps and protrusion with other elements of the body due to the enlarged holes in the wing. Install the socket with the turn signal lamp and fasten the radiator grille with screws.

When replacing a wing, pay attention to the condition of the anti-corrosion coating of the surfaces under the front wing. If necessary, restore the coating by applying plastisol D-11A or mastic BPM-1 (see section. "Anti-corrosion protection of the body").
