In cases of simultaneous replacement of the roof panel, marks are made on the drainage gutters on both sides of the joints of the roof with the windshield frame panel. The frame panel is cut off with a chisel (in Fig. 186 the cutting lines are shown as dotted lines) from the posts, gutters and reinforcements. The remaining strips of metal are disconnected with nippers and the deformed edges are straightened.

The burner is used to burn and clean the paint on the body parts along the windshield frame, as well as on both sides of the frame panel edge.
Install a new frame panel and secure it with quick-release clamps. When installing the panel, align the marks on the gutters with the roof joints. Use gas welding to grab the frame panel in the places shown in the figure.
Install the hood and check the fit of the panel. Check the dimensions of the windshield opening and weld the panel with gas welding using L62, L68 solder by melting the edges to a length of 10 mm every 50 mm. Partial replacement of the windshield frame panel is allowed with the roof panel installed.
