Replacement is carried out with the front and rear fenders removed. Amplifier replacement 2 (pic. 185) performed in the presence of deformation or through corrosion. Cut down the panel 3 thresholds with a thin chisel (in the figure, the felling lines are indicated by a dotted line). Remove the remaining strips of metal, clean the edges with a grinder. Mark the new sill panel under the B-pillar, adjust the panel in place and secure with quick-release clamps. The panel is welded at the extreme points by gas welding with L62 or L68 solder (in the figure, the welding points are shown by arrows).
Install the doors and check the external gaps with the body. The gap size should be (5±2) mm. The protrusion or recession of the threshold relative to the door should not be more than 3 mm. The doors are removed and the threshold panel is welded to the mating parts by contact welding in increments of 50-60 mm. Electric welding is allowed in a carbon dioxide environment with Sv-08G1S or Sv-08G2S wire and a current of 50-90 A or gas welding.
The panel is welded to the central pillar by gas welding and the welds are cleaned.
