Unscrew the rear cover mounting nuts 24 (see fig. 122) and remove it. One of the cover fastening nuts is unscrewed from inside the gearbox housing with the lower cover removed. When removing the rear cover, it is necessary to not only push it back, but also turn it to prevent it from touching the reverse gear block and 5th gear. After removing the inner ring of the rear bearing 12 and the speedometer drive pinion from the secondary shaft, loosen the cover fastening bolts 4 (Fig. 124) of the clamps and unscrew bolts 1 and 3 fastening the gear block and the 5th gear and reverse gear engagement fork.

Remove the oil deflector washer 9 (see fig. 122), then sleeve 10 of the V gear and remove rod 2 (see fig. 124) from the fork. At the same time, the spacer sleeve is removed from the rod. Then remove the gear block from the splines of the intermediate shaft.
Remove the intermediate gear 1 (Fig. 125) of the reverse gear from the axle, gear 3 together with clutch 2 and fork 4 from the secondary shaft. Remove washer 5 (see fig. 122) and using shaped mandrels such as screwdrivers, remove the hub 3 of the 5th gear synchronizer and the driven gear 2 of the reverse gear from the key.

Carry out further disassembly of the gearbox in the order described for the four-speed gearbox.
If necessary, disassemble the lever and gear selection mechanism, for which:
- remove the protective cover 10 (see fig. 123) from flange 11, retaining and thrust rings 8 and 7, spring 6 and spherical washer 5 from the gear shift lever;
- mark the position of the parts relative to the mark A on the guide plate so that the parts are connected in the same position during assembly;
- after unscrewing the nuts from the mounting bolts, separate the parts of the gear selection mechanism and remove the lever 9, its ball joint 4 and rubber sealing rings 15.
