Dynamic balancing scheme of the cardan transmission
If cardan transmission parts were replaced during repair, then its balancing is mandatory. Dynamic balancing of cardan shafts in an assembled state is carried out on a special stand.
At a rotation speed of 5500 min⁻¹, the greatest permissible imbalance on supports A, B, C should not exceed 1.71 N·mm (175 gf mm), and when checking the balancing – 2.15 N·mm (220 gf mm).
Balancing is achieved by welding metal plates 25 (see Fig. Cardan transmission).
