Camshaft
On the bearing journals of the camshaft, scoring, nicks, scratches and aluminum enveloping from the bearings are not allowed. On the working surfaces of the cams and the eccentric, any damage and signs of wear in the form of cutting are not allowed.
The camshaft is installed with the outer journals on two prisms placed on the test plate, and the radial runout of the remaining journals is measured with an indicator, which should not exceed 0.02 mm.
Camshaft bearing housings
In bearing housings, cracks in any places are not allowed. The bearing surfaces under the camshaft journals must be free of burrs and scratches.
Check the gap between the camshaft journals and the bearing holes. The clearance is determined by calculation after measuring the necks and holes in the bearings on the cylinder head with the bearing housings installed. The gap must match the data tab. 1. If the gap is greater than 0.2 mm, then replace the cylinder head with bearing housings.
Toothed belt
The surface of the toothed part must be with a clear tooth profile, without wrinkles, cracks, undercuts and delamination of the fabric from the rubber. On any surface of the belt, traces of oil are not allowed. On the end surfaces, delamination and fraying should not be observed, but a slight protrusion of the fringe of the fabric is allowed. The surface of the outer flat part must be even, without folds, cracks, depressions and bulges.
