Note. Special wrench for the upper shock absorber nut. Without it, it is quite difficult to loosen the nut.
Attention! Loosen and tighten the wheel bolts only with the vehicle on the ground. Bolt tightening torque 65–95 Nm (6.5–9.5 kgf·m).
3. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks ("shoes") under the rear wheels. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and place it on stands. Remove the wheel (see warning).
1. Remove the protective cap from the top rack mount.
2. Loosen the nut of the upper shock absorber rod with a special wrench (see note).
4. Remove the cotter pin from the tie rod ball joint to the swing arm.
5. Loosen the tie rod ball joint nut and press the ball joint pin out of the swing arm.
6. Take out from an arm a rubber sealant together with a brake hose.
7. Mark the position of the eccentric (top bolt) relative to the rack bracket.
Note. Bolt with an eccentric of the lower fastening of the front pillar.
8. Loosen the two nuts and remove both mounting bolts.
9. Remove the steering knuckle eye from the strut bracket.
10. Loosen the three nuts on the top of the strut.
11. Pull the strut down through the wheel well.
