Pressing out the piston pin
It is necessary to remove the finger on the press, using the mandrel A.60308 and a support with a cylindrical recess into which the piston fits. Before pressing out the pin, remove the piston rings.
If the removed parts are slightly worn and undamaged, they can be reused. Therefore, when disassembling them, mark them in order to assemble a group with the same parts in the future.
Cleaning
Remove carbon deposits from the piston crown and piston ring grooves, and remove any deposits from the piston and connecting rod oil passages.
Check carefully for damage on the parts. Cracks of any nature on the piston, piston rings, pin, connecting rod and cap are unacceptable and require replacement parts. If there are deep marks on the working surface of the liners, or they are too worn, replace the liners with new ones.
