Attention! We carry out the work on an inspection pit or lift.
On a VAZ-21214 vehicle equipped with a catalytic converter, disconnect it from the additional muffler (see Removal the neutralizer).
Loosen the clamp securing the main muffler to the additional one (see Removal the main muffler)…
…and remove the additional muffler.
On a vehicle not equipped with a catalytic converter, loosen the clamp securing the main muffler to the additional one (see Removal the main muffler). Similarly, we loosen the fastening of the additional muffler to the inlet pipe.
We disconnect the pipes of the main and additional mufflers.
Similarly, we disconnect the additional muffler and the inlet pipe.
We install the additional muffler in the reverse order, making sure that the elements of the exhaust system do not touch the body during vibrations.
