Attention! We carry out the work on an inspection pit or lift.
We disconnect the additional muffler from the inlet pipe on the VAZ-21213 car (see Removal the additional muffler) or on a VAZ-21214 car a catalytic converter (see Removal the neutralizer).
We dismantle the anti-roll bar (see Removal the anti-roll bar).
Using a 13 mm head, unscrew the bolt securing the exhaust pipe clamp to the bracket.
On a VAZ-21214 vehicle, remove the air filter housing (see Removal the air filter housing).
In the engine compartment, use a screwdriver to bend back the edges of the locking plates of the nuts securing the flange of the inlet pipe to the exhaust manifold.
Using a 13 mm socket head, unscrew the four nuts.
We remove the locking plates.
We move the flange of the inlet pipe from the studs of the exhaust manifold.
We remove the sealing gasket.
We remove the intake pipe.
Having installed a new gasket, we mount the intake pipe in the reverse order.
