Due to the complexity of color matching, damage to the paintwork is recommended to be eliminated by repainting the entire body panel. After replacing body parts (fender, door panels, hood, etc.) and straightening work on deformed parts, they also paint all the front surfaces of these parts.
Before painting, the newly installed parts are slightly sanded for better adhesion and primer EF-083 is applied to them. The remaining operations are performed according to the previously described painting technology.
Details, straightened and polished to metal, are covered with GF-073 primer and ML-197 enamel is immediately applied over wet ground. Loss of gloss in this case will be no more than 5%, but the coating will have good adhesion and high anti-corrosion properties.
Minor damage in one place can be repaired with two layers of ML-197 enamel supplied with the car. In this case, you must follow the instructions on the label of the jar. It must be borne in mind that a freshly painted surface will always differ in shade from the rest of the body surface, since the color depends on the mode of painting and drying the paintwork, the duration of the vehicle's operation and other factors. The damaged area is sanded with 55C 4-P sandpaper with water from the damage site to the edges with a smooth transition. The sanding should be 10-15 mm wider than the painted area in order to minimize the noticeable border of the painted area after polishing. If the soil layer is not broken, degrease the surface with a rag soaked in white spirit and tint the prepared surface. When grinding to metal, after degreasing, GF-073 primer and ML-197 paint are applied. If necessary, use putty or soldering.
It must be remembered that it is impossible to paint over the old layer of nitro enamel with synthetic enamel. It must be removed mechanically or with washes.
