Carburetor — removal and installation (VAZ-2101)

Loosen the clamps and remove the crankcase ventilation and air intake hoses from the air filter pipes. Unscrew the nuts, remove the air filter cover and filter element. Unscrew the four fastening nuts and remove the filter housing with the gasket. Disconnect the rod 4 (from the carburetorsee fig. 36) air damper drive, throttle drive rod 1 and return spring Remove fuel supply hoses, engine crankcase ventilation hoses and vacuum supply hoses to the vacuum regulator from the carburetor pipes. Unscrew the carburetor mounting nuts and remove it together with the gaskets. Close the inlet opening of the intake manifold with a plug to prevent foreign objects from getting into it.

Installing the carburetor is in the reverse order. After installation, adjust the air and throttle valve drives and the crankshaft speed at idle speed.
