1. With the parking brake drive lever in its lowest position, disconnect the ends of the cables from the brake shoe drive levers (see subsection 10.6.1).
2. After loosening the lock nut 4 (see Fig. Parking brake actuator) and adjusting nut 5, remove tension spring 11 (fig. Parking brake drive parts), then completely unscrew the lock nut and nut.
3. Disconnect the cable brackets 13 from the body floor and the rear end of the cable from the brake shield; remove the brackets and rear cable.
4. Remove roller 8 with sleeve 7, then the lever protective cover and the lever assembly, as well as the front cable.
5. After removing the cotter pin and thrust washer, disconnect the front cable from the handbrake drive lever.
6. Install the parking brake in the reverse order of removal, and then adjust it (see subsection 10.2.3).
7. When installing, lubricate the rear cable guide, lever axle, roller bushing and front cable tip with LITOL-24 or LSC-15 consistent grease.
